In Uzbekistan, manufacturers of electrical appliances are compensated for interest on loans
In 2026, it is planned to arrange supplies of equipment to 80 countries and increase their volume to $3 billion.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved measures to support the electrical industry and increase its investment and export potential. This was reported by the legal information channel of the Ministry of Justice.
According to the presidential decree, already in 2026, the goal is to establish the export of electrical appliances from Uzbekistan to 80 countries and increase its volume to $3 billion. By 2030, it is planned to put 225 thousand tons of copper raw materials on exchange trading annually.
In 2026-2027, the Entrepreneurship Development Company will provide guarantees for loans in any currency to electrical companies. Its amount will be 50% of the loan (up to 10 billion soums inclusive).
Manufacturers will also be able to receive compensation for loans allocated for the purchase of copper and replenishment of working resources. Subsidies will affect interest on part of the loan in the amount of up to 20 billion soums:
for soum loans at a rate exceeding the main rate of the Central Bank by no more than twice - up to 6% (from 4% to 10% above the Central Bank rate);
for foreign currency loans - up to 5% (from 6% to 11% per annum).
In early October, the head of Uzeltehsanoat, Mirziyod Yunusov, presented to the president plans to increase the production of electrical engineering and electronics. By 2030, it is planned to increase copper production to 500 thousand tons. The portfolio of projects in the industry is estimated at $2.1 billion.
