Advanced artificial intelligence technologies to be introduced in Uzbekistan customs authorities
This is stated in the decree of the President of Uzbekistan on additional measures to organize the activities of the state customs service bodies and further improve customs administration.
According to the document, a research department for AI technologies will be created in the structure of the Information and Communication Technologies and Cybersecurity Department of the Customs Committee, which specializes in the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in the customs sphere.
For this purpose, the position of an advisor to the chairman on the introduction of AI technologies will be introduced into the structure of the Customs Committee.
The tasks of the new department will be to study advanced foreign experience in the field of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as to study these technologies in the field of customs control and clearance.
In addition, the department's employees will be involved in testing, implementing and optimizing AI technologies, as well as exchanging scientific and practical experience with leading domestic and foreign specialists.
Recall that Uzbekistan intends to significantly improve customs processes in the coming years, increase their efficiency, reliability and transparency, and also achieve at least 55th position in the world logistics ranking according to the World Bank by 2030.
