The President ordered the organization of 10 new laboratories in industrial sectors
Over the past few years, 12,000 standards have been approved, and since the beginning of this year, more than 1,000 international standards have been adopted. To ensure the safety and quality of products, 29 technical regulations have been developed.“Currently, the test results of only 64 out of 269 laboratories in our country are recognized at the international level. This forces entrepreneurs to conduct additional tests when exporting products,” the report says.
The President pointed out the need to increase the number of internationally recognized laboratories and organize 10 new laboratories in such industries as electrical engineering, construction materials and mechanical engineering.
In order for Uzbekistan to join the World Trade Organization, it was emphasized that local legislation in the field of technical regulation must comply with the requirements of the international organization. This year, it is planned to develop 340 national standards, and by the end of 2025 - another 38 regulations. In addition, it is planned to digitalize the work of 28 technical committees and the activities of laboratories. In particular, the electronic platform "Technical Regulation" will be launched for this purpose.
