The Ministry of Energy reported on the amount of green energy produced in Uzbekistan since the beginning of the year
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz News Agency. According to the Ministry of Energy, since the beginning of the year, solar and wind sources have produced 4 billion kilowatt-hours of alternative electricity in Uzbekistan, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.This figure is given by the Ministry of Energy as of 12:00 last Sunday.
Today, in seven regions of Uzbekistan, there are 9 solar photovoltaic and one wind power plant with a total capacity of 2.7 gigawatts, which produce environmentally friendly green energy. Of these, solar power plants produced 3.5 billion kilowatt-hours, and wind power plants - 506.4 million kilowatt-hours.
The total output allowed saving 1.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas and preventing the emission of 1.68 thousand tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere. The obtained volume of alternative electricity corresponds to a 10-month social norm for two million households or an annual norm for 1.67 million households.
