Electrical equipment exports from Uzbekistan reached a billion dollars. The industry became the second largest
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz News Agency. Over the past seven years, 1 billion dollars have been invested in the electrical engineering industry of Uzbekistan. This has allowed the launch of over 760 new enterprises and the development of production of 45 types of new products.The volume of manufactured products has increased by 1.8 times, and budget revenues from enterprises in the industry have increased by 8 times. Over the past three years, the geography of exports of domestic electrical equipment has doubled – to 62 countries. Deliveries have reached 1 billion dollars.
At the same time, the market potential is estimated at 5 billion dollars, but is not fully utilized. The country has the ability to produce smart cards, generators, telecommunications equipment and office equipment.
These data were presented at a meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev today. The tasks and plans for the further development of the sector were also announced here.
Thus, electrical engineering production will now develop on the basis of cooperation with enterprises in related areas. For this purpose, up to 10 hectares of space will be allocated in the technology parks of Akhangaran, Fergana, Karshi and Urgench for the production of composite materials, molds and packaging, metal and plastic processing.
Officials were instructed to construct buildings for specific projects and transfer them to entrepreneurs on industrial mortgage terms. In addition, businessmen will have their property and profit taxes reduced to 50%.
The president also emphasized that this year the share of deep processing of copper products should be increased to 60%, and next year – to 75%. This will increase the added value from 1 ton of copper to 1 thousand dollars.
Production in the field of electrical engineering should increase to 40 trillion soums this year. The president instructed to use local products more in state investment programs and large projects.
